THE PROCESS

SkinPen® is a class 2 medical device that, when glided across the skin, creates thousands of microscopic channels into the dermis to activate the healing process, building collagen and elastin. A topical numbing cream is applied to keep you comfortable during treatment. You will feel a light vibration as the SkinPen® moves across your skin’s surface.

THE RESULTS

Because it takes time to build up collagen and elastin, the full results of your SkinPen® Microneedling treatment may not be fully realized until months later, although most patients say they see improvement in as little as one week. Your skin may be slightly red immediately after your treatment. This can last for up to three days. You may wear makeup the day after your treatment, so SkinPen® can easily fit into your social calendar. SkinPen® is best done in a series with treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Deeper wrinkling and acne scarring maybe require multiple series of treatments. SkinPen® can be used on other areas of the body such as neck, chest, hands, stretch marks, and even scar revision.
