ABOUT REBECCA
Rebecca has always respected and recognized the role our appearance plays in how confident we feel about ourselves. This belief initially led her to pursue an eight-year career in cosmetology, during which she learned the immense value of listening to, caring for, and genuinely connecting with clients to deliver the results they desired. Having built this foundation, Rebecca then decided she wanted to broaden the landscape and scope of what she could offer clients by entering the field of medical aesthetics. Rebecca’s career pivot began at Crutchfield Dermatology, where over five years, her knowledge of skin health and medical aesthetics rapidly advanced. This experience served as the catalyst for Rebecca to pursue her degree in nursing from St. Catherine University. After graduating, her first position as a fully registered nurse was with the prestigious Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery, where she began her training to be an injection specialist.
As a registered nurse, Rebecca witnessed the transformative capabilities of non-invasive procedures like injectables, laser skin treatments, and chemical peels on patients’ self-confidence. She also began to appreciate the symbiotic relationships between injectables, professional skin treatments, and clinical skincare products to decrease and even reverse the aging process. This experience motivated Rebecca to once again advance her education and training to be able to offer her patients an even more extensive portfolio of treatments to enhance their appearances and lives. Over the next few years, Rebecca worked as an injection specialist in several respected clinics in the Minnesota area. She simultaneously attended advanced courses and gained certifications to elevate her expertise. Her rapidly expanding skills, positive reputation, and advanced injection technique gained her recognition with Allergan®, the manufacturer of Botox Cosmetic®.
In 2017, Rebecca was asked to become a faculty member for the Allergan Medical Institute. Through this institution, she trains other nurses and physicians on the proper injection techniques for all Allergan injectable products. This natural inclination towards training and education prompted her to create Rebecca Suess Aesthetics, LLC to provide independent contracting of injection services and advanced training on treatments like cosmetic injectables, the use of micro-cannulas, and the cosmetic applications of platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
Rebecca is passionate about the medical esthetics industry and the education and responsibility required to keep pace with its rapid evolution. She attends multiple Allergan Master Courses each year. She also sits on the board of the industry-leading International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (ISPAN) and is a regular attendee of their annual meeting. Her next goal? To attain her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) specialty. She is expected to graduate in 2021.
In 2017, Rebecca founded The Refinery Skin Clinic to offer clients an entirely new approach to skincare that blends education, partnership, exceptional treatment offerings, and unsurpassed service and skill. The Refinery’s goal is to collaborate with industry vendors, manufacturers, and other medical professionals to elevate the standards and best practices for the medical esthetics industry.
Rebecca believes that the goal of all aesthetic treatments should be to enhance your natural beauty and make you feel the absolute best version of you. She wants her clients to feel a real sense of partnership, loyalty, and trust as you both work together to realize a fresher, brighter, and more confident you!
