This RF energy is dispensed through a tiny array of medical “micro” needles that penetrate the skin at a controlled depth. What happens during a Profound® RF Microneedling treatment?
Profound® is only performed by a Registered Nurse (RN) at The Refinery Skin Clinic. Both topical and injectable numbing are used before your treatment to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Profound® has built-in temperature controls to safely deliver the precise amount of radiofrequency energy as your provider treats your face, jawline, and neck in a grid-like pattern.
When do I see results with Profound RF® Microneedling?
Your face and neck will most likely experience some redness, swelling, and bruising after your treatment. You may also notice a small grid pattern of dots on your skin from the microneedling needles. All of these side effects should subside within ten days. Most patients can return to work the day after their Profound® treatment using makeup to camouflage any redness or bruising, but it is recommended to schedule your Profound® on a Friday, so you have the weekend to recover.
