Rejuvenate your skin and restore thick, full hair with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).
When you have a soft tissue injury, your body sends platelets to release growth factors that increase collagen production, stimulate blood flow, and regenerate cells. A cosmetic PRP treatment harnesses that reaction by targeting it towards specific areas where you would like to improve the appearance, such as your skin and hair.
A consultation with Rebecca Suess RN, CPSN, CANS is required to schedule your PRP procedure. Rebecca is a regional trainer for the advanced injecting technique of PRP and regularly trains other nurses and physicians on how to administer treatments to their patients. Once it is decided that you are a candidate, Rebecca will start by drawing a small amount of your blood and then placing it in a specialized centrifuge to separate out the platelet-rich plasma. This plasma is then prepared for topical or injectable application.
The PRP Facelift is a treatment focused on increasing the health, vibrancy, lift, and volume of your skin. Your plasma will be injected into your skin in areas commonly filled with dermal fillers. In fact, your PRP Facelift can be complimented with dermal fillers like Voluma during your treatment for an accelerated result. This natural approach creates a more youthful face shape and is highly beneficial to the undereye area. The PRP Facelift is commonly performed with a PRP Facial to dramatically enhance your results.
The PRP Facial uses the SkinPen® Microneedling to create a latticework of small channels in your skin's surface to absorb the platelet-rich plasma. Your entire face (or other treatment area like the neck, chest, hands, scar) will first be microneedled by one of our licensed aestheticians. Then your plasma is applied to rejuvenate your skin. This treatment is wonderful for acne scarring and is highly beneficial when added directly after our PRP Facelift.
PRP Hair Restoration uses your plasma to target the regrowth of your hair follicles. PRP is injected into your scalp to produce stronger, longer, and thicker hair by bringing dormant follicles back to life. This method of hair restoration is beneficial to those suffering from alopecia, heredity hair loss, hormonally-induced hair thinning, and male pattern baldness. Multiple treatments will be needed to see optimal outcomes -- but the results are worth it.
After your PRP Facelift, your skin may be slightly tender, but as the weeks progress, your skin will begin to feel firmer, thicker, and more lifted. Because PRP increases the micro-circulation in our skin, it is not uncommon to get compliments about how radiant you look! To maintain the results of your PRP Facelift, we recommend treatment every 12 to 18 months. With each treatment your skin will not only look better, it will actually be healthier overall.
Following your PRP Facial, as with any SkinPen® Microneedling procedure, your skin will appear slightly pink after your treatment. Because the PRP is topically applied in this method, you will be advised to not wash your face for at least 12 hours. Within three days, you'll notice smoother, tighter, and more vibrant looking skin. Within three months, you may note significant softening of acne scarring, enlarged pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. The PRP Facial is best done in a series of treatments and repeated at least once a year from there on out to continuously improve your skin and prevent the signs of aging.
Following PRP Hair Restoration, your scalp will be tender and slightly inflamed. This response is normal and may take up to two weeks to fully subside. We recommend you wear a hat the day after your treatment for sun protection. New hair growth happens in intervals of three to four weeks, so results are not seen overnight. Be patient. It can take up to three months to see new hairs begin to grow in, but they will grow in thicker and stronger. Most of our patients note marked improvement after only one treatment. Rebecca will map out a course of treatment for you based on your level of hair loss, age, gender, and the health of your follicles.
