Rebecca has always respected the role our appearance plays in how we feel about ourselves. This belief initially led her to pursue an eight-year career in cosmetology during which time she learned the immense value of genuinely listening to, caring for, and connecting with clients one-on-one to deliver the results they desired. Rebecca soon decided that she wanted to broaden the scope of treatments she could offer people to ones that would provide lasting change, not only in how they looked but also in their self-confidence. This desire led her to a position with Crutchfield Dermatology, where over the course of five years, her knowledge of skin health and medical aesthetics blossomed. This experience motivated Rebecca to pursue a degree in nursing from St. Catherine University. Her first position as a fully registered nurse after graduation was with the prestigious Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery where she began her training to be an injection specialist.
As a registered nurse, Rebecca witnessed the transformative capabilities of non-invasive procedures like injectables, laser skin treatments, and chemical peels on patients' lives. She also began to appreciate the symbiotic relationship between injectables, professional skincare treatments, and clinical skincare products to decrease and sometimes even reverse the aging process. This experience motivated Rebecca to pursue advanced education and training once again to be able to offer her patients an even more extensive portfolio of treatments to enhance their appearance and lives.
Over the next few years, Rebecca worked as an injection specialist in several respected Minnesota clinics while attending advanced courses and gaining additional certifications. Her rapidly expanding skills and advanced injection techniques gained her recognition with Allergan®, the manufacturer of Botox Cosmetic®. She was asked to become Faculty member for the Allergan Medical Institute where she trains other nurses and physicians on the proper injection techniques for all Allergan injectable products. She is also the founder and owner of Rebecca Suess Aesthetics which provides independent contracting of injection services as well as advanced training on treatments like cosmetic injectables, micro-cannulas, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
Rebecca is passionate about the medical esthetics industry and the education required to keep pace with its rapid evolution effectively. She attends multiple Allergan Master Courses each year. She is also a regular attendee of the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (ISPAN) annual meeting and was even a featured presenter on the Silhouette InstaLift™ at their 2018 conference. As of 2019, she is one of only 15 nurses in the entire nation asked to be a national trainer for Silhouette InstaLift™.
In 2017, Rebecca co-founded The Refinery Skin Clinic with licensed aesthetician Tracey Rudolph-Lakin to offer clients an entirely new approach to skincare that blends education, partnership, exceptional treatments, and unsurpassed expertise. Together, they collaborate with industry vendors, manufacturers, and other medical professionals to help elevate the industry standards for the medical esthetics industry.
Rebecca believes that the goal of all aesthetic treatments should be to enhance your natural beauty, not make you look like someone else. She wants her clients to feel a real sense of partnership and trust as you both work together to realize a fresher, brighter, and more confident you!
